Safeway buys 76 station
Safeway has officially completed the purchase of the 76 Gas Station site and is proceeding with the process of getting approval for their 2.1 acre Shopping Center Project at the corner of College and Claremont Avenues.
On October 31, 2009, some Oakland residents received, via US mail, from The Oakland Community and Economic Development Agency, Planning and Zoning Division, the official NOTICE OF PREPARATION (NOP) OF A DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT (EIR) FOR COLLEGE AVENUE SAFEWAY dated October 30, 2009.
